I'm not sure how they do it, but this place is slam-packed busy every time (people practically knocking each other down to get through the door)
I've been there, yet the food has been delicious and the service has been quick and spot-on.
The lamb souvlaki is cooked perfectly...still pink in the middle. The chicken souvlaki is tasty and moist.
The platter is enough food for me to have at least 1 more meal if not 2.
The grape leaves are AMAZING.
The pita is warm and soft and the tzatziki is the best I've ever had...and I've been to Athens and to Santorini!
The Greek salad that comes with the platter is big and the dressing is to die for.
sI meant to buy a jar of it before I left the last time but forgot.
Oh well, excellent excuse for me to make another trip to Tarrytown Catherine A.

Had a surprise lunch date with my favorite co-worker. We took a drive to Tarrytown and decided to have lunch outside since it was such a beautiful, sunshiny day.
Once again... I love this place.
We got a table right away and were served so promptly.
We placed our order for two small Greek salads with grilled chicken.
Not only did we have our food in less than five minutes, but we were served gigantic bowls of salad with fresh, colorful veggies and super tender and flavorful grilled chicken.
The pitas were warm and delicious, too.
It was such a great place to go if you are pressed for time.
The staff was super attentive and quick.
Only downside was that the sidewalk dining is a bit tight.
We were squeezed in like sardines. However, I'd go again in a heartbeat.
Matter of fact, I plan on it! Only for dinner this time... Morgan L.

Ate here back in August during a busineess trip.
Probably some of the best greek food I have ever had.
Had the Gyros Platter and it came with a greek salad and i had the rice.
The Platter and Salad were enough for two people.
The meat was tender and cooked perfectly.
The rice was good and the Salad was great.
Make sure you go with an appetite. Jamie S.

I would just go back for their salad dressing but Lefteris Gyro has the best I have ever tasted. But the yumminess just doesn't stop there.
Try their Calamari, Gyro platter and also Hummus and eggplant dips.
The owners are very family friendly as noisy tots are not an issue.
Your meal also comes quickly and you marvel at the portion size! But you won't leave poor as the prices are quite affordable. Ani V.

Really good food, very generous helpings, very reasonable prices, casual.
The meat is always cooked just right, the salads are always fresh.
Lunch times gets rather busy & can be a bit of a wait but turnover is usually pretty fast.
I think the max I've had to wait is about 15 minutes.
Wouldn't recommend it for large groups though.
Yummy yummy yummy! Maly A.

This is a great greasy spoon kinda place. It's always packed with people whenever I go there.
Tonight I had the gyro in a pita and the avgolemono soup.
Let me tell you, I have not had such a delicious gyro sandwich in 23 years.
There was a gyro stand I used to go to when I worked on Wall Street, which had the best gyros around.
Now I have found its match.
The gyro was really tasty with no gamey flavor that I hate so much.
The shredded romain was so crisp and fresh, onions without the stinky sting, fresh ripe tomatoes and some fresh chopped dill topped off with tzatziki sauce.....so fresh.....so delicious I LOVED IT!!!!!! Suga S.

You'll always get a warm smile and welcome from the owner, George when you walk in. Warm smile, good food to satisfy the belly, what more can you ask for.

My family and I have been coming here for years and we love this place. It does get very crowded and there can be a wait but it is always worth it. The service is friendly and fast. All the food is so yummy that you have to try everything. Jenn B. Tarrytown, NY |
